Tom Reynolds

Tom Reynolds has been doing groundworks for 21 years — not just landscaping, but proper groundworks: foundations, drainage, extensions and complete new-build houses up to plate level. He's been trading on his own since 2006, incorporated the company in 2011, and has been trading continuously ever since — building Reynolds Groundworks & Landscapes into one of the most trusted names for high-end projects across Surrey and West Sussex.

It started with a single digger, bought when Tom was 19 and delivered on the back of a Land Rover in 2008 — the shed it was parked beside is still standing in the yard today. That one machine has grown into a fleet of more than thirty pieces of modern plant, from excavators of every size to dumpers, loading shovels and Unimogs. Reynolds is now a small-to-medium sized company running eight or nine substantial jobs at a time when at full capacity, and it remains a genuine family business — Tom's parents and his boys are very much part of everything.

The philosophy is simple: use local people and local, independent suppliers wherever possible. Those relationships mean materials arrive fast and jobs keep moving — and Tom deliberately keeps capacity in the team, so clients aren't quoted silly lead times. Most jobs start within a month of sign-off; many start far sooner.

Tom's nursery background gives him an unusual edge in landscaping and planting. The family has held wholesale nursery accounts for decades, with contacts as far as the continent — so he can supply large trees, hedging and specialist topiary at trade prices, then plant them to a professional standard. If it's outside, Reynolds can build it.
